Military Sawtooth Star Spring 2021 This star block will be approximately 9.5 inches square. This style of this block is worry free about the points. From background/blue fabric cut: eight - 3 1/2 inch squares From star/white fabric cut: one 3 1/2 inch square for the middle and eight 2 1/2 inch squares for the star legs. Draw a line diagonally from corner to corner on wrong side of the 8 white 2 1/2 inch squares. This will be your sewing line. Place 2 1/2 inch white square onto 3 1/2 inch blue square and sew with right side together and match up in one corner. Sew on Drawn line. Do this 4 times. Cut off the excess fabric 1/4 inch away from stitching. You can iron the seams open or to the side. I ironed them open.
